Benefits & Advantages

Underfloor Heating has a number of benefits associated with it and several advantages over a conventional radiator system.

Comfort – Underfloor heating provides an evenly distributed,
invisible heat throughout the entire floor area.

With typical floor surface temperatures of 25-29°C, the floor is comfortable to walk on even when traditionally cold materials such as quarry tiles or stone flags are used.

The human body’s blood supply is thinnest at our arms and legs and this is where we feel cold first. Underfloor heating provides the body with warm feet and a cool head which leaves occupants feeling more comfortable.

Space – Every square metre of your project can be fully utilised, as unsightly and cumbersome radiators are a thing of the past. This allows you the freedom to design to YOUR plans or ideas rather than to suit your heating engineer. One of the main problems with radiators is that they are always located in the wrong place! This problem is eliminated with Underfloor Heating. End-users are free to design rooms & furniture layouts to suit their own ideas and decorating is much simpler with no radiators to paint.

Hygiene
– Underfloor heating creates a healthy, warm indoor environment. There will be less dust and up to 80% reduction in house dust mites particularly beneficial for those who suffer from allergies and asthma. Also because Underfloor Heating operates at a lower air temperature, the relative level of humidity is increased by approximately 12% compared with a conventional system, resulting in the air being drier and more hygienic.

imageCost & Economics – Although underfloor heating has a luxurious feel, it is not as expensive to install or run, as it is often perceived. It has been proven that a modern UFH system can result in savings of 15-40% making an underfloor heating system a must have investment with a realistic payback.
